Subgrade Reinforcing Geotextile
1. Product Overview
Subgrade reinforcing geotextile is a high-performance needle-punched nonwoven geosynthetic made from polyester filament or staple fiber. It is widely applied in highway, municipal road, railway, parking lot and embankment projects. Laid between subgrade and base course, it reinforces the whole road structure, improves foundation bearing capacity, restricts foundation lateral deformation and differential settlement, and prolongs the service life of pavement.
2. Core Functions
Structural Reinforcement & Load Sharing
High tensile strength evenly disperses vehicle loads, reduces stress concentration on weak subgrade, limits lateral extrusion of soil, effectively controls rutting, pavement cracking and embankment sliding.
Material Separation
Separates underlying soft soil and upper coarse aggregate, avoids fine soil mixing into gravel layer, keeps the graded structure of base layer intact and stable.
Filtration & Drainage
Permeable porous structure drains pore water inside subgrade while retaining soil particles, eliminates water softening and mud pumping damage caused by accumulated water.
Anti-puncture Protection
Buffers sharp gravel and rock fragments during backfilling, prevents tearing damage to geotextile and lower anti-seepage geomembrane.

6. Construction Guidelines
Clean and level subgrade surface, remove sharp stones, tree roots and hard protrusions.
Lay geotextile flat without over-tension; overlap width of adjacent rolls is 10–20 cm.
Fix edges with U-shaped nails to prevent displacement during filling and rolling.
Backfill and compact fillers layer by layer; forbid heavy rollers to roll directly on geotextile.
