Subgrade Reinforcement Geotextile
1. Product Overview
Subgrade reinforcement geotextile is a high-strength needle-punched nonwoven geosynthetic made of polyester filament or staple fiber. It is specially designed for highway, municipal road, railway and soft foundation treatment. By laying between subgrade and base course, it improves the overall bearing capacity of road foundation, solves soft soil settlement, lateral deformation and road collapse problems, and extends the service life of road engineering.
2. Core Functions
(1) Reinforcement & Load Distribution
The high tensile strength of geotextile disperses vehicle loads uniformly, reduces stress concentration on soft subgrade, limits lateral sliding of foundation soil, controls uneven settlement and avoids rutting and road surface cracking.
(2) Separation
Isolates soft foundation silt, clay and upper gravel aggregate. Prevent fine soil from mixing with coarse fillers, keep the grading structure of base layer intact and stable.
(3) Filtration & Drainage
Its unique porous structure allows free passage of water while retaining soil particles. It discharges pore water inside the subgrade, eliminates water softening and mud pumping damage to road base.
(4) Anti-puncture & Protection
When paved on rock or crushed stone foundation, it buffers sharp stones to avoid damage to geomembrane or road base structure.

6. Construction Key Points
Clean the subgrade surface, remove sharp stones and tree roots, level the foundation.
Lay geotextile flat without tension, overlap width 10–20cm for adjacent rolls.
Fix the edge with U-shaped nails or filler compaction to prevent displacement during filling.
Backfill gravel evenly and compact layer by layer, avoid heavy machinery directly rolling the geotextile.
