HDPE geomembrane

Outstanding Impermeability

The permeability coefficient of HDPE geomembrane can be as low as ≤1.0×10⁻¹⁷ cm/s, effectively blocking the penetration of water, gases, and various chemicals, making it one of the most reliable waterproofing materials available today.

2. High Strength and Durability

· Tensile strength at break can reach 28 MPa, with elongation at break up to 700%, enabling adaptation to uneven foundation settlement.

· Excellent resistance to tearing and puncture ensures effective protection against physical damage during construction and long-term service.

Product Details

High-density polyethylene geomembrane (HDPE geomembrane) is a waterproof barrier material primarily made from high-density polyethylene resin. It possesses excellent properties such as extremely low permeability, high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and anti-aging performance, and is widely used in seepage prevention projects across various fields including environmental protection, water resources, municipal engineering, and petrochemical industries.

I. Core Features

3. Superior Environmental Adaptability

· Wide operating temperature range: from -60°C to +60°C; remains non-brittle at low temperatures and does not soften at high temperatures.

· With the addition of carbon black and anti-aging agents, it exhibits strong UV resistance, achieving a service life of over 50 years when exposed to sunlight, with some high-quality products lasting up to 70 years.

4. Excellent Chemical Stability

Resistant to corrosion from most acids, alkalis, salts, and organic solvents, making it suitable for complex environments such as chemical plants and landfills. However, note that strong oxidizing agents or aromatic hydrocarbons such as concentrated nitric acid, xylene, and carbon tetrachloride may cause chemical degradation.

II. Common Specifications and Selection Recommendations

1. Thickness Range: 0.3mm ~ 3.0mm

· For general engineering applications, 1.0mm ~ 1.5mm is recommended

· For large-scale projects such as landfills and tailings ponds, a thickness of 1.5mm ~ 2.0mm or above is recommended

2. Width: 1 meter ~ 8 meters, customizable according to project requirements

3. Color: Typically black (containing more than 2% carbon black) to enhance UV resistance

4. Surface Type: Smooth, single-textured, or double-textured (used on slopes to increase friction)
