Permeable Geocell Driveway
Core Advantages
Excellent water permeability: Realize rainwater infiltration, reduce surface ponding and flood pressure
3D confinement prevents aggregate shifting, rutting and uneven settlement
Eco-friendly: Replaces impermeable asphalt and concrete pavement
Supports vegetation planting; can build green permeable driveways
Adapts to clay, humid low-lying, rainy and water-rich foundation conditions
Uses local gravel as filling material, lowers construction cost
Simple installation, convenient maintenance
Permeable Geocell Driveway
Permeable geocell driveway adopts perforated HDPE 3D honeycomb geocell as the main reinforcement structure. After unfolding and anchoring on the prepared subgrade, the geocell cavities are filled with clean gravel, crushed stone or aggregate to form an integrated permeable pavement structure.
Different from non-permeable textured geocell, the holes on geocell sheets allow free water infiltration inside the whole pavement layer. Rainwater can penetrate vertically and horizontally through perforations and aggregate gaps into the underlying soil, effectively restoring natural surface water infiltration, reducing surface runoff and avoiding ponding on driveways.
Relying on three-dimensional lateral confinement effect, the geocell locks aggregate firmly to prevent gravel migration, rutting and foundation settlement under vehicle loads. This permeable pavement solution combines subgrade stabilization and stormwater management, which conforms to sponge city construction standards.
Main Application Scenarios
Residential driveways, park access roads, community fire lanes, scenic parking lots, industrial lightweight haul lanes, temporary construction roads, ecological landscape driveways, floodplain access roads and water level fluctuation zone traffic paths.
