Permeable geotextile (also known as geotextile) is a type of geosynthetic material made from synthetic fibers such as polyester (PET) and polypropylene (PP), produced through non-woven processes like needle-punching or spunbonding, or through woven techniques. It is characterized by high water permeability and, unlike impermeable geomembranes, its primary functions include filtration, drainage, separation, reinforcement, and protection.
