Geocell for slope protection

Main Application Scenarios

• Highway and Railway Slope Protection: Prevent landslides and collapses caused by rainwater erosion, and enhance the stability of roadbeds.

• Riverway and Levee Management: Strengthen the resistance of banks and slopes against erosion, reduce soil and water loss, and support the construction of ecological revetments.

• Ecological Restoration of Mines and Abandoned Lands: Establish a growth medium on exposed rock faces or infertile soils to achieve rapid re-vegetation.

• Municipal Landscape Engineering: Apply to slope greening and safety protection in residential areas, parks, overpasses, and other urban zones.

Product Details

A slope protection geocell is a three-dimensional net-like synthetic material used for slope protection. Through its honeycomb structure, it effectively confines the infill material, enhancing slope stability and preventing soil erosion. It is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheets joined by ultrasonic welding, which, when unfolded, form multiple interconnected hexagonal cell units that can be filled with materials such as soil, gravel, or concrete, creating an integrated structure with high rigidity and lateral confinement capacity.

I. Key Features and Performance Advantages

1. Three-Dimensional Confinement for Enhanced Load-Bearing Capacity

Geocells utilize a "three-dimensional honeycomb structure" to provide strong lateral confinement to the infill material, significantly improving the foundation's load-bearing capacity and resistance to deformation. This makes them particularly suitable for soft soils, sandy areas, and collapsible loess regions.

2. Easy Installation and High Adaptability

The material can be folded for transport and rapidly deployed on-site, with simple connections and fast construction. Geocells are adaptable to various slope gradients and perform well under complex geological conditions.

3. Eco-Friendly with Integrated Vegetation

Planting soil and grass seeds can be placed within the cells. The interweaving of plant roots and the geocell structure further stabilizes slopes. This achieves dual benefits of engineering protection, ecological restoration, and landscape enhancement.

4. High Durability and Broad Environmental Compatibility

Lightweight, wear-resistant, anti-aging, and resistant to acids and alkalis, geocells can be used long-term in environments ranging from -40°C to +60°C, making them suitable for various climatic conditions including extreme cold, high temperatures, and humid environments.
