Construction Procedure for Cellular Confinement System (CCS / Geocell)

1. Substrate Preparation

Clear, level and compact the base. Lay non‑woven geotextile as separation & filtration layer with required overlap. Inspect geocell panels for weld damage.

2. For Road / Subgrade Stabilization (horizontal application)

1. Unfold and fully stretch geocell panels to design cell dimension, no slack or wrinkles.

2. Fix with galvanized metal anchors at specified spacing; connect adjacent panels.

3. Fill cells with granular infill material layer‑by‑layer. Max aggregate size ≤1/3 cell height. Do not drop material from high altitude.

4. Compact each layer to specified density. Ensure full cell filling, no voids.

5. Construct upper pavement layers.

3. For Slope & River Revetment (sloped application, perforated geocell)

1. Trim slope surface, remove loose rocks and debris.

2. Lay geotextile from slope top to toe. Anchor the top end.

3. Deploy geocell from top‑down direction. Stretch tightly, fix with anchors (higher density at slope top). Join adjacent modules.

4. Fill cells with topsoil mixed with grass seeds; cast thin concrete locally for high‑flow river sections.

5. Compact by small vibratory rammer. Secure slope toe and crest.

6. Carry out vegetation curing.
