1. Project Overview: 

Slopes of open‑pit mine dump with loose soil and slightly acidic soil. Rainfall erosion easily leads to soil‑water loss. The project requires slope stabilization and vegetation revegetation, with no heavy‑traffic driving requirement.


2. Engineering 

Pain Points: Loose waste soil of the dump is prone to gully erosion and sliding collapse under rainfall washing. The acidic mine soil requires corrosion‑resistant materials against acid and alkali. Revegetation is needed to restore mine ecology.


3. Selected CCS Specification: 

Perforated HDPE cellular confinement system; height 100 mm; sheet thickness 1.3 mm; welding spacing 445 mm, perforated.


4. Key Construction Points

1. Trim loose slopes of the mine dump and lay non‑woven geotextile.

2. Unfold perforated CCS from top to bottom, stretch and anchor firmly.

3. Fill the cells with improved planting soil, then spray‑sow mixed shrub and herb seeds. Set up drainage ditches at the slope toe.


5. Implementation Results

✅ Honeycomb cells confine loose waste soil and restrain slope gully erosion and shallow‑layer landslides.

✅ Perforated structure facilitates moisture exchange; vegetation coverage reaches over 85% within 6 months.
