Ecological Revetment of River Slope (Perforated 3D Honeycomb Geocell)

1. Project Location: Sluice Channel Slope Protection Project

2. Project Challenges

Severe current scouring occurs at river bends, resulting in continuous collapse of the original slope surface. Traditional hard revetment with precast concrete blocks suffers poor ecological performance, high construction cost and insufficient space for vegetation growth.

3. Selected Product

100mm Perforated 3D Honeycomb Geocell

4. Construction Technology

Slope cleaning → Geotextile laying → Unfolding and anchoring 3D honeycomb geocells → Filling cell cavities with planting soil mixed with grass seeds; Cast-in-situ thin-layer concrete inside geocells for local zones with rapid water flow.

5. Implementation Results

- The three-dimensional honeycomb structure confines fill soil to resist current scour.

- Perforated structure facilitates water and soil exchange, with vegetation fully formed within 3 months.

- Construction efficiency increased by 45% compared with mortar stone masonry and precast blocks.

- Integrates flood control slope protection and aquatic ecological restoration.
