Industrial Park Heavy-Duty Road Reinforcement Project on Silty Clay Site (Warp-Knitted Polyester Geogrid)

Project Overview

This project serves heavy-duty traffic roads in an industrial park. The subgrade is composed of silty clay. Frequent passage of heavy trucks leads to severe pavement rutting and subsidence on conventionally designed road sections, affecting normal factory transportation.

Project Pain Points

Silty clay features low bearing capacity and poor stability. Under continuous heavy vehicle loads, crushed stone aggregates sink unevenly, causing early-stage pavement damage and shortening road service life.

Selected Product

Biaxial warp-knitted PET geogrid with a tensile strength of 100kN/m.

Construction Scheme

The geogrid is embedded inside the 150mm crushed stone base layer. It interlocks and locks the stone aggregates tightly to improve the overall stiffness and modulus of the road base.
