Functions of Geotextile in Landfill Anti-Seepage System
1. Separation

Separate different structural layers, prevent mixing of waste, soil and drainage aggregates, and maintain the integrity of the anti-seepage system.
2. Filtration
Permit leachate and groundwater to pass through, while blocking fine soil and sediment. Effectively prevent clogging of leachate collection and drainage pipelines.
3. Protection
Act as a protective layer for HDPE liner. Resist puncture, extrusion and friction from sharp objects and overlying loads, and avoid damage to the impermeable membrane.
4. Drainage
Divert leachate and accumulated water smoothly, reduce hydrostatic pressure on the liner and surrounding soil.
5. Reinforcement & Stabilization
Distribute overburden pressure evenly, improve overall structural stability, and reduce soil settlement and displacement.

Functions in Different Positions
·Beneath the liner: Level the foundation, isolate base soil and prevent liner puncture by gravel.
·Above the liner: Protect the HDPE membrane and cooperate with drainage layers for leachate collection.
·Final cover system: Separate topsoil and drainage layers, reduce rainwater infiltration and protect the top anti-seepage structure.
·Wrapped around drainage pipes: Professional filtration to ensure long-term unobstructed drainage.

Extra Features
The geotextile features excellent acid & alkali resistance, corrosion resistance and anti-aging performance, suitable for harsh landfill operating conditions.
