Reinforced Retaining Wall for Railway Soft Soil Subgrade (HDPE cellular confinement system)
Reinforced Retaining Wall for Railway Soft Soil Subgrade (HDPE cellular confinement system)
1. Project Overview: The maximum filling height of the embankment is 5.17 m. Located on soft soil subgrade. Slope trimming is required to control lateral earth pressure, avoid squeezing the bridge pier, and mitigate differential settlement of soft foundation.
2. Selected Specification: HDPE EGC100-440 geocell, welding spacing 220 mm, vertical layout spacing 0.6 m, combined with uniaxial geogrid.
3. Construction Scheme: Soft soil pre-treatment (cement mixing pile) → Lay HDPE geocell and wrap fill in layers, install sand and gravel filter layer, cast-in-place concrete face slab connected with anti-corrosion anchor bolts.
4. Engineering Performance: Effectively controls lateral displacement of embankment, greatly reduces differential settlement at bridge approach/subgrade, and meets the long-term dynamic load stability requirements of railway.
